About Us

The Faces behind PSM

Poppi Seed Market was created by us – the bakers at Poppi Seed Bakes (I’m sure some of you figured it out by the spelling of the name alone).  I’m Melissa (the one on the left aka the daughter) and she’s Debbie (the one on the right aka the mother).

We are so excited to have you as part of this new venture.  The idea of starting a market came shortly after we rebranded our baking company (for many years we were KML Events) to PSB in honor of my grandfather who passed away in November of 2017.   We decided to change our name to Poppi Seed Bakes as Poppi is what all us grandkids called him.

We thought a lot about new additions and things we hadn’t ventured in, (but had experience with) and took stock in the fact that some of our faves (maybe even some of your faves too!) had stopped producing markets.  We also saw a market as another way for us to pay our respects to Poppi and his love of handmade.  He was also a man of celebrating – ALL. THE. THINGS.

You had a good day at school or work?  Let’s get froyo.  It’s Tuesday?  Taco Tuesday for dinner (it really was his jam)!  It’s your 28th birthday on Thursday?!  Let’s have a party!

That’s what we want for PSM – to celebrate the every day and the handmade.  We want you to join us and see new and old faces, find handcrafted items to fill your homes and lives (both for that random Tuesday dinner and that special birthday coming up), but also have a good time doing it.

A little party never hurt no one, right?!

POPPI SEED MARKET

Poppi Seed Market started out as just an idea in 2018. We were able to host two in-person markets before COVID-19 hit then we rolled with the punches and did a few virtual pop ups to show our love for handmade makers and small businesses.

Since then we’ve created our Merry Maker Pop Up Shop and spent some time outside with a few of our open air markets.

Our plans for 2024 will be announced soon!  Thank you for your patience.

If you have any questions about us or PSM, want to join us in some capacity, or have suggestions – use our contact page or send us an email at [email protected].

Thanks and we hope to see you at an upcoming market!
