Thank you for being interested in joining our Black Business Collective.  We firmly believe that spending money and investing in Black-owned businesses is just one way to help end racial injustice.  Providing opportunities for sustainable growth for small businesses and an equitable space for everyone is one thing we want to continue to do in our work as a market.

Starting at the end of July, we will launch our Maker Marketplace that will house both makers from our Virtual Pop Ups and an on-going collection of Black-owned small businesses.

Requirements for joining:

  • Be Black-owned
  • Be a small business [includes handmade, vintage/upcycled, curated boutiques, local and service-based businesses]

What does being a part of the Collective include?

  • Social Media advertising
  • Your own online shop in our Marketplace [you will be able to list 10 products for free].
  • Discounted rate for Virtual Pop Ups
  • A feature in our Meet the Maker blog series

How to Join:

Submit the application below.  That’s it! We’ll confirm details with you in an acceptance email.

Applications are temporarily closed.

Additional Info:

  • While we are California-based, we are open to out-of-state businesses.
  • As per our market criteria, we do not accept MLM/direct sales businesses.
  • You may submit your shop to be a part of a Virtual Pop Up and if you are accepted, the cost is $10.  As a part of the pop up, you would receive the additional benefits of being a “Featured Shop.’ If you are not accepted to be a part of a Virtual Pop Up, you would still be included in the Marketplace for customers to shop alongside our pop up makers (as part of the BBC at no cost).  If you’d like more info on our Virtual Pop Ups, please go here.
